FRICTION RESISTANCE TESTING DEVICE

PDF

It is used in textile quality control laboratories to determine the color and pilling fastness of samples through friction. Samples can be tested wet and dry. Samples are rubbed against a dry, undyed cotton companion fabric. The color uptake rate of the companion fabric is determined according to the staining gray scale. The device has two separate models: manual and motorized. The motorized model is used when a high number of tests are required. It stops automatically after the desired number of tests. A 25mm tip and a 22N weight can be used if required.
